MixForms theming and styling features

Layouts, styling and theming *

With MixForms, you can style your form to match your website. You can change colors, font-sizes and paddings very easy.

With the option layouts you can place multiple fields in 1 row, for example: field 1 is 1/3 of the row, field 2 is 2/3. If you made a nice set of field-elements, you can save that set as an custom-fieldset and use it everywhere in any of your forms!

See these examples:

  1. Colorize
  2. Layouts
  3. Header image
Payments in MixForms

If you need to allow payments in your form, in example for workshops or a product you are selling, MixForms supports different payment providers to handle this for you. Therefore you don`t need to build software and talk to the complicated API`s of these providers. Just enter your API keys and you are ready to collect online orders. Fully integrated in MixForms so the user is automatically redirected to the payment page of the payment provider. After payment the user is redirected back to your usual MixForms thankspage.

The amount of the payment can be easilly defined in different ways:

  • Fixed price
  • Dependent of an other field element (like a choice or dropdown)
  • Using a webservice/HTTP-request

You also can optionally assign a multiplier-field for, in example, amount of products. And a discount-field to allow discounts in percents, based on the choice of the user. Read more in this blog: Payments in MixForms

Supported providers:

  • Paypal
  • MultiSafePay
  • Mollie

See an example here.

MixForms logic and rules

Logic and rules *

With logic an rules you can easily program your forms to make them responsive to the user`s input.

For example: if the user selected the option Yes as awnser for a question, then go to page 2 or show the next 4 related questions.
Or if you select more than 2 options in a list of checkboxes, show an extra field where the user can write detailed information. Your creativity is the only limit.

See an example here.

Embed your forms everywhere

Multi page forms

Large forms have poor overview and are hard to fill in for the user. With pagination you can split a large form into smaller pages! You can create small views focussed on a specific section of your form. The user can visually see where they are in the pagination-steps. Pages can optionally be named and validated.

See a simple example.

Embed your forms everywhere

You can view your form in a stand-alone viewer of MixForms, like all the examples are. Or you can integrate your forms easily in your website as well. Add a script-tag to embed the form or use an iFrame.

If you use Wordpress, we provide a plugin to use MixForms seamlessly in Wordpress. The editor and submissions can be easily used without leaving your Wordpress environment! With short-codes you can add forms to your pages.

Validation in MixForms

Ofcourse validation is not missing. Fields can be required or the input must matcha specific format. Or you can setup, for example, an email field to allow to submit email addresses only once in this form.

Date fields can be setup to have a min or max date, or use today as variable. For example: you can have an date field which only allows from 4 days after today to end of this year. See example.

You can setup choice fields (like radiobuttons and checkboxes) to have submission limitations.
For example: if you have a choice for 3 dates for your workshop with limited place, you can setup as follow:

You now can setup how many submissions each item can have, say: 10 for all the 3 options. If 10 people choosed Monday 7PM then that option will be disabled from that moment on.

See an example here.

MixForms also provides the option to use your own business logic or webservices for validation without using of javascript! Use AJAX/HTTP-request to validate your form or specific fields, and use the HTTP-response for rules or feedback messages.

See an example here.

Business logic integration

Integrations with your own business logic / webhooks *

If you need your own business logic or a webservice in your forms, MixForms provides lots of options. MixForms uses HTTP-requests for this. You can use your own logic for:

  • Field-validation
Use HTTP-requests to validate a field. The value is sended to an url with an HTTP-request, and the result decides if the input is valid or not.
  • Populate lists, datagrids, checkboxes and radiobuttons
You can fill lists and other fields with your own data from ie. your database or a webservice.

    See an example here.

  • Post your form to an HTTP-post url
If you use this, you can use values from this response in your thanks-page.
Save and resume

Save and resume *

This powerful feature saves all user input on their machine while typing (using LocalStorage). If they accidentally close the window, refresh the page, or whatever, the form will always restore the latest state. This way customers never lose their form data. Try it in all the demo forms.

Export your data from MixForms to pdf or csv

With the export function you can easilly create csv or pdf reports of all the form submissions. You can choose to get a flat report (all submissions in a table-layout) or get a nice overview of how many people chooses what. See example.
